The Institute of Fundamental Science was founded by a group of young scientists as a crystallization point for everyone carrying out high-quality research in fundamental science. The institute is intended to exist in a hybrid virtual-real form and undertakes both research and educational activities.
Our ambitious goal is for IFS to become a zone, created by scientists for scientists, free from the administrative constraints imposed by academic institutions. At the same time, being by definition such an institution itself, IFS is dedicated to a close collaboration with other academic institutions and funding agencies all over the world while maintaining its unique philosophy.
